Overview:
|
| The ME1 is
a rotary, enclosed chamber, steam engine made from 90% ceramic material.
|
| Its smooth
simplistic design enables it to be built from ceramic material.
Inherently efficient and powerful, it has the ability to be used
in a wide variety of applications, from residential power generation
to power plant use. |
| This low cost
machine develops significant horsepower from low pressure steam
15 - 300 PSI for residential use. |
| Still
in its developmental stage, prototype testing is ongoing. |

The ME1 unique design provides two important
characteristics.
1. Design to utilize the best mechanical advantage giving it high
torque through out the power stroke. Because the steam is confined
in an enclosed chamber there is no friction loss common to steam
turbines. Inlet control valves regulate steam flow for power and
efficiency optimization.
2. A rotary design with two main moving parts enables it to be
made from ceramic material making it the idea engine. For example
very close tolerances held through out a wide temperate range.
Withstands the harsh affects of high pressure steam. The ME1 chamber
walls have a considerable large surface area, but ceramic material
is a poor heat conductor therefore very little heat loss through
chamber walls. Mass produced parts are less expensive to manufacture
than metal parts.
