Place some of the alcohol in a spray bottle and saturate the areas where the bugs are prone to hide with alcohol. After spraying the liquid, you can also use a scraper in the same way as with the vacuum method. The alcohol will kill the eggs as well as the bugs.

Mattress Cover

Most people think that a mattress cover is the only way to prevent a bed bug infestation. However, these covers can also be used to kill the bugs. The covers trap the bugs in and cut them off from their food supply. However, if you decide to use these covers, be sure to place one on the box spring as well because these pests can also hide in crevices within the box spring.

Steam Cleaning

This is considered to be one of the most effective methods of killing these bugs, and is one of the most preferred methods used by pest control companies. This is a natural and safe method that can be safely used around pets and children.

There are steamers on the market that you can purchase not only for killing bugs but also for sanitizing other areas of your home. Make sure the steamer you purchase reaches a temperature of 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pesticides

When considering pesticides, keep in mind there are chemical and chemical free options. Natural solutions can often be created in your home. If you are thinking about a chemical pesticide, you should be aware that these bugs have seemed to develop a resistance for most of the chemicals that have been used to kill them in the past. This means chemical pesticides may not be as effective.
